Royal Iced Biscuits Class
Why not learn how to decorate your own royal iced biscuits, perfect as a wedding or party favour? These versatile treats are fun to decorate and make beautiful gifts for family and friends.
This class is ideal as an introduction to royal icing and delicate piping techniques. Easily personalised for special occasions, biscuits are a great way to learn and practise new piping skills. We will cover how to make, colour and work with royal icing in different consistencies. You will learn how to pipe delicate patterns using paper piping bags, as well as creating on-trend flat finish decorations such as feathering, pulled hearts, flat lines and polka dots. The course will give you the confidence to use these new piping skills to decorate cookies, cakes and more.
The class is offered in small groups (max 8 students), so you can benefit from plenty of tutor attention. Taking place in Anna’s professional kitchen in the café, the course includes complimentary tea & coffee.
You will take home a selection of beautiful vanilla cookies, gift-boxed, plus all the recipes used in the class and plenty of tips and skills for making your own cookies at home.
You will learn the following techniques during the class:
– How to make royal icing
– Demonstration of making a paper piping bag
– Making & working with different consistencies for borders, flooding and over-piping
– How to pipe with a paper piping bag and nozzles
– How to create flat-iced decorations, such as polka dots, feathering, hearts and roses
– Piping final touches – lines, bows and dots
